Platemeter runs in your browser. Your quiz answers, food log, weight entries and photos are processed and stored on your device only (browser local storage). We have no account system and no database of users.
The food recognition model is downloaded from Hugging Face the first time you scan, then cached by your browser. Your photos are not sent with that download.
If you buy Pro, payment is handled by Whop under Whop's own privacy policy. To activate Pro, the app sends your access code to our server to check it; the code is not linked to any personal data.
Hosting is provided by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security.
Delete everything at any time in Settings, "Delete all my data", or by clearing your browser data.
